UNDERSTANDING THE TECHNOLOGY

What is Exomind?

Exomind uses transcranial magnetic stimulation to deliver magnetic pulses to brain regions involved in mood regulation. Unlike a medication, the treatment applies stimulation from outside the head. It is a clinical treatment that starts with a review of your diagnosis and prior care.

YOUR GOALS, IN FOCUS

Exomind treatment benefits

01

Non-drug treatment

An option to discuss when previous antidepressant treatment has not provided satisfactory improvement.

02

Noninvasive sessions

Treatment is delivered without surgery or anesthesia, with monitoring by your care team.

03

Care that considers the whole person

Discuss symptoms, daily functioning, current medications, and ongoing mental health support with your provider.

MEDICAL EVALUATION FIRST

Is Exomind
right for you?

Exomind is FDA-cleared for adults with major depressive disorder who have not achieved satisfactory improvement from prior antidepressant medication in the current episode, including associated anxiety symptoms. Your provider determines whether your history fits this treatment.

A thoughtful approach to care

Tell your provider about implanted devices, metal near the head, seizure history, medications, and other medical conditions. This is not a complete safety checklist. Do not stop prescribed medication or ongoing mental health care without your treating clinician’s guidance.

Exomind treatment

Prepare for your visit ↗
01

Talk about your goals

Your team reviews symptoms, medical history, current care, and possible risks before recommending a plan.

02

Your treatment session

After your evaluation, the team determines appropriate placement and treatment settings. You remain awake during the session and may feel tapping on the scalp. Your provider will explain possible discomfort, side effects, and other risks before you decide.

03

Plan & review progress

Treatment sessions are generally under 30 minutes. The number and frequency of visits depend on the clinical plan. A short wellness package should not be assumed to be a complete depression treatment course. Progress and follow-up are reviewed with your provider.
